I can't believe that 2 years have gone by......Spencer is so great.....& we can't imagine our lives without him.
He loves everything & everyone. Some of the tops are:
Spencer still LOVES balls. He loves to play catch with anyone who is willing, & "rolly-rollies" with grandma (where he gathers all the balls & they roll them back & forth). He LOVED the ball themed birthday party. When he walked in the kitchen the morning of his birthday & saw all the decorations.....he stood there in awe with a big smile on his face - just staring!
He loves going to nursery class on Sundays to play with the train set. The leaders there appreciate how funny & smart he is. One Sunday the teachers held up a picture of Joseph Smith & asked who it was....Spencer blurted out, "Joseph Smit." They were all shocked.
He loves spaghetti, french fries & Costco snacks. Broccoli & asparagus are also some of his favorites...with "dippies" of course! He loves to eat at restaurants.
He loves to read books. Both with someone & by himself
He knows the alphabet & all the sounds they make. He can also recognize letters when he sees them around town. He speaks so well & very clearly. Spencer can pretty much say anything he wants....half of the stuff he says we have no idea where he gets it. The other day James had been on his leg for a while & had been hurting. As James sat down he let out a big sigh. Spencer turned around, looked at James & said, "Cowboy Up, Daddy!"
Spencer is still taking swimming lessons. He loves the water & does a great job swimming.
One of his favorite people is "AMMA/GRAM-GRAM." Spencer wants to do anything & everything with her. Especially when it comes time to go sleepies, Spencer will cry & fight until Grandma puts him to bed. He usually doesn't have to twist her arm too much - she loves it. They read story after story & snuggle. Most days Spencer only wants to play with her. I think it's pretty cute.....after having 4 boys herself, Grandma has never played ball SO MUCH. She also reads him nursery rhymes & Spencer will be heard quoting them around the house.
Spencer definitely has his own personality. He loves to make people laugh. It's cute to see little traits of James & I come out. I think that he has James' personality (Donna agrees). Infact, the other night Spencer reminded me of James..... Spencer was sitting on Grandma's lap & let out a big toot, then looked at me & said "that was you!"
Spencer also loves music...he stops & listens anytime he hears music playing.
He loves playing cars & trains.
His favorite shows right now are "letters" (Leap frog), Monsters, Inc, the Grinch, "Moose" (Backyardagans).
He loves getting dressed everyday wearing any sports shirt. He loves being a football player or baseball player with "football" pants (slicky pants). He doesn't really care for polo or rugby type shirts.....he wants his football shirts & notices other peoples sports shirts as well. He also loves to walk around with his hands in his pockets.
We love Spencer so much. He is such a good boy in every way. He loves to make people laugh, but also tries so hard to do what they want to make them happy. He gives the best hugs & kisses.
