Well, I never thought that we would start w/ lessons this soon into Spencer's life....but here we go! Life has begun to get a little crazier with our daily swimming lessons, but I would have to say it's TOTALLY worth it.
He started about 1 month again & has progressed so much. I am confident in knowing that he wouldn't drown if he fell into a pool.
The first day was the roughest.....he was crying pretty hard & drank half of the pool, the second day he cried - but it was more like a "poor me - don't make me do this" kind of a cry, then the third day he cried when he saw the pool, but walked right up to Brooke. Brooke is 16 & probably the best swimming teacher out there. She learned how to teach from her mom (which I'm sure is also good, but Spencer LOVES Brooke). From then on, Spencer loves his swimming lessons & picks up on it so quickly. He can now "dive" in the water come up to the surface, float on his back, kick & move his arms until he needs to breathe then he'll flip over to his back, then flip back over to his tummy - swim until he reaches the edge, grab on, move over to the steps & get out.....he does this all his own.
It seriously is amazing! The teacher teaches in her backyard year round (she has a bubble that she puts up in the winter). But it is crazy to see a bunch of little kids running around & swimming better than most adults.

Rain or Shine....we are dedicated swimmers! However, this down poor got a little too treacherous for our little athlete!
