Happy ANNIVERSARY #4

Well, this year we talked about doing something big & spectacular to celebrate our big day - like visit Aruba or Jamaica or Bermuda or the Bahamas. Then we thought a little more realistically & decided to go to Vegas & stay in a fancy hotel, see a couple shows, eat & lounge by the pool the rest of the time. Well, we didn't go to any of those places, but did eat & lounge by the pool...

Park City was the honored City we chose to celebrate our anniversary. We used our 2 free hotel stays at a Marriott there. As we checked in, James sweet-talked the manager & got us an upgraded room (with a little dining area/playing cards table), concierge service during our stay & a free breakfast at the restaurant there.
They had a heated pool that I thought was the perfect temperature (James thought it was like swimming in a hot tub), then they had a very bubbly hot tub that was even hotter. The best thing about it was we never shared the pool or hot tub with anyone else. It was heaven!

We played cards, read books, swam, shopped & ate. In our spare time we talked about Spencer & everything he would be doing or saying.......we missed him terribly. We debated taking him, but without him we were able to enjoy ourselves a little bit more.....Thanks to James' parents for watching him.
When we got back Spencer was happy to see us, but was also very mad at us. For the next several weeks he literally would not let us out of his sight. We could not even walk out of the room without him starting to cry & throw a fit. (Sorry Spencer for not taking you, but trust me, we paid for it!)

James & I BARELY knew each other before we got married, but after 4 years I still think James is the perfect guy for me...not to mention pretty close to perfect. He never ceases to amaze me with everything that he does for not only our little family but for all the extended family. He enjoy's surprising us with fun things everyday. Though we are not in the situation that we would normally choose to be in.....he has not hesitated with some of the "motherly" responsibilities. He steps righ in with everything there is to be done. WHAT A GREAT GUY!!!
